I hope you all got out and lived your best fairground life at the State Fair, and if you haven't yet, you've got until August 2nd to grab that corndog and make it count.

My partner, Justin, and I spent the weekend in SF with 20+ of our favorite Sacramento people, popping our Dore Alley cherry. And let me just say, it was A LOT, in the best way. We spent the day people-watching and the evenings dancing our butts off with some genuinely incredible people. 10/10, would overstimulate myself again.

Since it's a one-way float, use the Regional Parks River Shuttle ($5/day) or a multi-car shuttle to get back to your start point — parking fills up fast, so arrive early. Bring a float, air pump, sunscreen, water shoes, snacks/drinks, and a trash bag. Read more
